Happy Birthday Mark!

This weekend we went down to Starkville to celebrate Mark's 21st Birthday. It was wonderful to spend the day with the Williams clan. We went to church in West Point then on to Mark and Kim's apartment for lunch and cake. Kim made a beautiful cake, of a awesome gray color. We got to enjoy each other's company. It was very enjoyable. Happy Birthday Mark!

This is a special gift to Mark. I wonder who that could be?

Again, listen to this singing!

What would a William's family blog be without a Kirk update. He has a new swing and he absolutley is in love with it. A majority of his naps are in there. He is growing by the minute. He loves to play with Mom and Dad and is cooing and giggling all the time.

As always, here are a few pictures of the little man child.

2 Months Old!

On the 19th, Kirky turned 2 months old! I can't believe it. He is practically a big kid now! For all you moms out there, you know what 2 months means.......shots!!! :-( He took it like a trooper though. (I can't say the same about his dad. He squirmed all over the place and nearly cried himself. He's cute!) He only screamed for a minute, then he was fast asleep. He weighs nearly 12lbs and is almost 24 inches tall. That is above average for his age, so, of course, Danny says he is going to be an amazing basketball player. The little guy is now taking 5oz of formula.....every hour or 2. So, the doc said to mix a bit of cereal in there a couple of times a day. Maybe that means Mommy can get a nap in.

We took some pictures of him in his pjs last night and realized that his is growing way more than we realized looking at him every day.

We are looking forward to getting to see everybody this August. Kirk is dying to see his Aunt Amanda and all his cousins, he told me so himself. Not to mention all his good ole relatives to the West. He is super excited!

We have decided that our favorite time to take pictures and videos is bath time! So, here are a few for you to enjoy!

(notice the faux-hawk in the middle picture!)

Oh, and Danny wanted me to post this so that everybody would know that he, indeed, does the dishes from time to time. Yay Danny!!

Forth of July

What a great day the Forth was! We started off the day, glutting out on some mightly fine catfish at Mammaw B's house. Everybody was there, including our good friend Michael Byrd (who just so happens to be my sister's boyfriend). He got to meet the good ole family.
Me and Marlee got to have a great little photo op (except for the fact that she deleted them all, arg).
Later on, Dan went to work and my family came over and my other grandparents and we had burgers and home-made ice cream. Note to self......2 bowls of ice cream is MORE than enough. Strange fact, not sure if anybody knows this, but, ice cream has a bit of sugar in it. And, if one was to consume, say, more than 2 bowls, bad things like headaches, dizziness, and a really sad tummy just might happen. Then we shot fireworks. Second note to self.....never light the fireworks that explode in the air close to your viewing spot, debris just might fall in your eye and blind you.
Kirk seemed to really like his first Forth. The family seemed to enjoy him too!

Smiles!

We were talking just today about how everything babies do is so cute and amazing. This fact is absolutely true! How many of us ooh and ahh when our spouses smile or giggle? When our parents sleep more than 2 hours at a time, do we brag? Who out there sings a song, talks cutesy, or even cheers when it's potty time for our friends? For some of you, these things might actually happen, but for the most part, we only act this way around our dear sweet babies. Never in my life have I taken more pictures of one individual, just because he happens to be awake. Never has anything so trivial as a cute outfit, yawn, or growing hair caused so much commotion in a crowd. I have to say we are all lucky to have these precious little ones in our lives to help us remember how cute and amazing these everyday things that they do are. Here are a few of those cute and amazing moments little Kirk has given us we would like to share with you!

And yes, we do think he is the best thing since sliced bread! ;-)
