It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

What Santa brought...plus some gifts

Kirk's Christmas Eve PJs drawn by dad.

What can I say, the Williams family loves us some Christmas! Danny and I vowed that we would sleep in and wake up when Kirk was ready to get up. We had planned on waiting to open gifts after he ate breakfast. Who thinks that really happened? We were up and opening presents by 4:30am. We are really big kids. Kirk had a blast. He was in a super good mood. He opened all his gifts, needless to say, we somewhat ever did it. Then he fell asleep on his big stuffed Mickey Mouse. We opened our gifts next. We got awesome stuff and were really excited and thankful. We went down to my moms next, around 5. We were done with Christmas and ready to clean up by 8 or 9. It was a really good day. We enjoyed being with our family and for this special holiday season.

Christmas Time Is Here!

This month has just flown by. I can hardly believe that it is time for Christmas already. I do have a bit of a confession to make, I have become quite weepy this holiday season. It is no secret to anyone that I am a wee bit emotional, so I know that this statement is no huge shocker. I remember the past years Danny and I always planned saying "Oh, won't it be great when we have kids so we can carry on this or that tradition!" or "Man, when we have our kids, we are going to do this fun new Christmas thing I heard of." or just plain ole "Christmas is going to be so much fun when we have kids and our own little family." Well, this year, all this stuff is actually happening. I'm looking around at little Kirk and just shed a little tear. We are a family. Danny and I are grown ups. Wow, that's a scary sentence. We are creating memories (hopefully good ones) that Kirk will remember all his life. That's kinda a big responsibility. Well, I will blog later about or Christmas activities. I have to get off this computer before I do something violent, technology is not always the blessing it could be.
