I love it!

I am a sucker for a cute boy in a cardigan. I've been looking for one for Danny for the past 2 years. But, I found one today for Kirk and I'm in love! Get ready, because I'm probably going to post every picture I take of him wearing it. All he needs now is a pair of Buddy Holly glasses and some black converse and he'd be the cutest little emo kid ever!

Yum....

This looks like a glass of refreshing apple juice, right? False. This is the wonderful water that is flowing for the tap of all Big V Water association customers. This is so upsetting to me, for a few reasons. #1, it's just plain ole gross. This is the reason I never drink tap water. We have bottled water in our fridge at all times. #2, I had to be somewhere early this morning, so I skipped my typical morning shower in hopes of taking one tonight. Nope. No way. I think I would come out dirtier. #3, I cooked a great big super tonight (including the best biscuits I've ever made, by the way). And, guess what? I made lots of dirty dishes. There is no way that I can wash my dishes in this yuck water. I may have a panic attack. Pregnant Marca freaks out if the kitchen isn't spotless before I go to bed. I have all my dishes organized as neatly as possible in and around the sink. I guess me and my house are just going to have to wait till tomorrow to get clean.

How To Have An Awesome Day:

1. Get a visit from your long, lost friend, the sun. Currently, in Booneville, MS, the temperatures have reached a high of 57 degrees. So, you know where I've been all day....OUTSIDE!!!! Today and yesterday, we have gone and ran around the park for an hour or so and it is just what the body needed. Yesterday, Kirk even asked to take a nap from being so tuckered out from intense play time. I was beginning to think we weren't going to make it to spring, but days like the past few have really helped matters. Although, its supposed to start raining Sunday and get cold again. Oh well, it has given us a second wind, anyway.
2. Buy a Fan. Before baby #1, I was a mild temperatured person. Boy, did Kirk change that. Now, being prego again, I burn up most of the time, especially at night. If it were my choice, we would have the heat completely off during the night, but I have 2 boys here that wouldn't like that very much. So, today I bought a fan. That sucker is going right next to my bed and I'm going to freeze all night. It will be great!!!!
3. Get prepared. So, it has dawned on us that we have less than 6 weeks before we will have a new baby in our house. Wow. Before yesterday, we had zero things done in preparation for the little squirt. But, as of this exact moment, we have all the baby clothes washed and put away, blankets washed and folded, a bassinet ready to be used, and a half packed diaper bag. This makes me feel a little less crazy and worried. Now, we just have to tie up a few loose ends and buy a new car seat. Yay!
4. Get a Letter. Today, we received our first letter from our friend Michael Byrd who left a few weeks ago to serve a mission in Utah and the surrounding area. He was our best pal in the ward (even though hes 4-5 years younger than us) and he even dated my sister for a while. It's good to hear from him and know that things are going well.
Well, there you go. That is how a great day is made. Hope everyone elses day is going just as fantastic!!!

Evil Parents.....

Ok, so, Danny said I was being awful for laughing so hard at this picture, but I have to say, I think it is pretty darn funny. While Kirk was taking a bath, Danny turned the lights out and then took a picture. This is Kirk's reaction to the bright flash.

V-Day!

I am a sucker for Valentines day, big time. In this aspect I really am a girl. I want chocolates and roses, and I'd probably be kinda upset if I didn't get them. In the past, I got a single rose and one of those $2 boxes of chocolates, which is just fine with me. I don't need to get the fancy stuff. But, this year, Danny really delivered: a dozen roses, Ferrero Rocher chocolates (my favorite!), and chocolate covered strawberries. Yum! It is great to be loved! We have a Valentines tradition to have strawberry waffles in the morning. Since Vday was on a Sunday, I was afraid that I'd have to cancel. Somehow, we all got up and managed to eat a great breakfast together without even being late for church, a Valentines Day miracle! We had Belgium waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, OJ, bacon AND sausage (danny's request). It was a great day full of love and lots of fattening food, that seems to be the trend with Holidays around here. I love my husband and I'm super thankful for him (and for my valentines goodies).

Going Crazy

I cannot even begin to explain to you how stir crazy I am going. I am so ready for warm, play outside weather. Its not that it is just cold, it is wet, blah. It seems to be raining or recovering from a big down pour all the time. I typically wouldn't have a problem with this, I would just go shopping or go out on the town, but my kid hates that. So, we are stuck inside, watching movie after movie, trying to stay occupied. Nothing keeps him content for more than 10 minutes except for a movie, as I am sure most kidos his age are. I am afraid I am melting his brain.....
Oh, on a side note, 7 weeks left! Whoop whoop!

I'm just a boy with a new haircut...

So, I was tired of my boy needing a haircut every 2 weeks, so I took him in today and told my friend/hair artist to chop it off short. It turned out way better than I expected. I love my church boy.

So, this is kinda lame, but I did what everybody else on Facebook is doing and figured out my celeb look-alikes. And, I must say, I am kinda freaked out that my closest look-alike is Glen Close.....At least all these ladies are thin and beautiful....but also blonde...weird...
