Birthday Party!!!

Kirk's second birthday party....what a fun day for him. We decided to have it at kids town and invite family and a few friends. We sent out 20 invitations to about 40 people, 25 or 30 of them being family. A total of 2 people showed up, my mom and my sister. Everybody had tons of stuff going on, so I understand. But, I'd be lying if I said that my feelings weren't hurt for the little guy, especially since the majority of the invites went to family. Honestly, I had to try really hard not to break down in tears, but I'm just emotional like that. However, I think Kirk wouldn't have really cared if 2 people showed up or if 200 people showed up. He drug Danny all over that place, had cake, and got his Woody and Buzz Lightyear, plus a Spud Lightyear (mr. potato head) and a talking Pig flashlight thingy. We love Toy Story A LOT around here. So, no matter how frustrated or upset I was, Kirk had a great 2nd Birthday party and really enjoyed his day!

Home Made

I've been feeling a bit domesticated today. I made some strawberry jam for our pb&j loving family. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. I'm just waiting for it to get good and ready. Hot biscuits and butter are calling my name!

Transformation to 2

New Born

1 Year Old

2 years old

This is a tag team blog...Danny is helping me out on this one. Wow. Can you believe it that the Kirk man is already 2? It seems like just yesterday that I was enduring the awful pains of childbirth to get this precious boy here. He lights up every room that he goes in and is such a caring and loving little guy. I'm proud to be his mom!

My little man! Wow it is just so amazing how time seems to fly. Seems as though he's still our new born...and even though another little rugrat took that position I'll never forget how great it feels to see him grow. From that first time he lifted his head on his own, we knew he'd be independent. Kirk we love you more than you could ever know! See ya at 3!

I'm totally stealing this from some other people's blog...I thought it was cute.

Class of 2010

My sweet baby sister graduated high school today. I have never felt so old in my life. I also have never felt so proud. She is such a beautiful and intelligent girl. I am so lucky to have her as my sister. I remember being 5 years old and going to the hospital with my grandparents to see my new baby. I got to hold her first out of all my family. She got to come home a few days later and I was so mad that she couldn't play with me yet...all she did was just lay there, how fun was that? A few years down the road, picture 2 little girls jumping up and down on Daddy's bed, plastic guitars around them, singing "She's got the rhythm, and I've got the Blues." Even further along, there we were, driving to WalMart together, gossiping and ranting about who knows what. "I Love This Bar" comes on, our "song", totally on accident. How I love Marlee Jeneen and all the fun memories we have together. She will do something great, even if it is just being my sister. Love you, Bug.

Houston, we have a belly button!

This baby boy of ours is just doing all kinds of weird things. He is a month old and we are just starting to see his button. His umbilical cord stayed on for like 3 weeks. Then, this strange thing was there...weirdness. Anyway, it's here now! Yay! This is his first "real" bath. Kirk demanded to get in with him....it was way cute!

To those who love the office....

This is what my life consists of.....lucky me.
