Kirk singing Rubber Ducky. He says "rubber ducky, one!" and "cheese mommy" because he thought I was taking his picture. He also throws in a bit of "Elmos song" there at the end.

Funny Story.....WARNING: NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART
I love giving my boys their baths together. I don't know, it is just so cute to me. So, in they went together for a bath. I got Joey all bathed up and finished, so I took him to his room to get him dressed while Kirk splashed around and played. I had Joey in his diaper and that wonderful baby lotion when I hear Kirk shout with glee "Mommy!! Look! Look at the water!" I didn't give it much thought because he freaks out every time he splashes and makes bubbles. So, I went ahead and put Joey's pjs on him and got him nestled down before I went back into the bathroom. All the while Kirk is begging me to come and look in the tub. So, right as I walk in he starts crying and has his finger scrapping the roof of his mouth. I think, "Oh no. He has swallowed some soap." Then, I notice this brown particle on his lip. I get closer to the tub and I see it. A giant poop log floating in the water. Then I figure it out....my child had eaten poop. He was freaking out trying to get it out of the roof of his mouth. I wiped it out with a rag and then bath time came to an end. Poor kid.

Just Keep Swimming!
Ok. Proud Mom moment. My Kirky can swim. My mom has an above ground pool. It comes up about mid-stomach on me. It is one of the bigger above ground ones. Kirk can totally swim across it by himself. Yea, he has floaties on. Yea, he's not quite in perfect swimmer form (more vertical than horizontal). But he is kickin those feet and flappin those arms and is making it with out any help from me. He will just dive out of my arms and go to it. I am quite a proud mommy.

Happy Fathers Day!
I feel like I should write something sentimental and mushy in honor of the fathers in my life. However, I don't think I have the brain power. To all those dads out there, you know who you are. You rock! Here are some pictures of the best dad that lives at my house and his favorite little boys!

Joey Update!
Little Joey is, well, little. We took him in for his 2 month shots and such and he was measuring quite small. He was only weighing in at 9lbs and 2oz and was almost 21in. She also thought she heard a little heart murmur. So, we added cereal to his formula and he got a heart test done (the name of which I am not even going to try to spell). The heart thing came back normal, which was fantastic. But, when we came back 2 weeks later he had only gained an ounce or two (and they want them to gain an ounce per day). So, they said to give it another week. So, we went back in and YAY he had gained 7oz, putting him at a hefty 9lbs 11oz. Looking back, when Kirk was 2 months he weighed almost 12lbs and was 24 in long. I guess Joey is our little runt! He also has acid reflux and we've had to switch to some different formula for that. But, most importantly, he is healthy, and that is really all that matters. He has started to smile and laugh a lot. I am just waiting for him to start sleeping through the night! :-)

Weirdo
Sometimes, I feel like writing down the lyrics to songs. It makes me feel like I wrote them myself.

Messes, messes
When I lived at home, I tried to keep my room relatively clean. This meant mainly making sure my dirty clothes went into the hamper and that I made my bed. Not a whole lot of work on my part. After I got married, things changed a bit. I had to wash my own clothes, my own dishes, vacuum, dust, and straighten up the whole house. Plus, I had to take care of all the messes my dear husband made too. Then along came Kirky. Messes x 3. Extra dishes, extra laundry. Plus, sometimes I think I am too particular about things to be a mom. I get really upset if there are more than a couple of toys out in the floor. But, somehow I managed. Now, here's Joey. You wouldn't think that a 2 1/2 month old would make much of a difference, but somehow he has. Bottle washings at least once or twice a day. Lots of laundry. Lots of garbages to take out. Plus, holding a crying/snuggling baby makes it harder to keep up with the messes my other 2 make. It may sound like this is just a big complaint, but it is quite the opposite. At the end of the day, before I clean up all the messes, I can look around and know one thing for sure; I have people in my life that I love so much. I don't mind cleaning up for a husband that loves and supports me, a two year old that calls me mommy and sings "Elmo's World" to me, and a little tiny guy that wants me to hold him and love him all day long. I can see my messes and have proof that those that I care about have been there and (usually) enjoyed their day. The messes are bigger than they used to be, but my heart is much fuller.

Quote of the day.
Dad (to me, as Marlee is filing his nails): You don't think she's going to turn me gay, do you?
The Lawrence Brothers
The 2 youngest, Andy and Matthew Lawrence....Remember Brotherly Love? Huh? Huh? My cousin and I were quite sure that we were going to marry these two when we were 8 and 9 (I had Matt, she had Andy, the one with glasses). This picture makes me feel kinda old, considering Andy was also 8 when we liked them. I'm almost positive that I had this picture on the left hanging up on my wall out of my Tiger Beat magazine.

2 Thoughts about today...
1. I have ear infections in both ears. My hearing is seriously impaired. I can't tell if I'm whispering or yelling at people. This makes me even more social awkward than usual.
2. What the heck is in Augmentin that makes it cost $60? Danny hasn't been at TJ Maxx long enough to have insurance. Usually, this wouldn't be a problem because, lets face it, who needs insurance if you are healthy. But, alas, blah. So, I had to pay for my drs visit and meds. Oh, well. Sixty bucks may be well worth getting my head to shrink back to normal size.

Birthday...take 3 and 4
Whew, this kid has had more birthdays this year than most kids have in 3! Well, Grammy and Pappaw and family came down and brought him his birthday gifts. We had cookies and yummy (too yummy) ice cream. Unfortunately, we don't have any great pictures of this event. But, Kirk got some money from the Williams family and from my grandparents, so I went to Wal Mart the next day and got him some gifts. We had a scavenger hunt around the house leading him to clues and some presents. He freaked out! First he got an Elmo movie. He screamed "ELMO!!!!" It was pretty great.
Then, he got Toy Story sheet set thing. He walked in to his room, covered his mouth, and gasped for a good 10 seconds straight.
Then he said "GOOK! (look) Mommy! Buzzy bed!!" It was pretty much the greatest thing ever!
