Happy Halloween!

We have had such a great Halloween! A week or so ago, we had a small party with my little sister and her boyfriend. Danny and I dressed up as Batman and Catwoman and Marlee and Michael were lumber jacks. We carved pumpkins, had a scavenger hunt, played "guess that body part", and played "Bobbing for Worms" (you play this by putting gummy worms in a plateful of coolwhipe and "bobbing" for them. At my house, something went wrong and there was a small coolwhip food fight between my dear husband and sister while her boyfriend looked on with a look of horror and disbelief. You gotta laugh it off though, right?) Wednesday night, we went to the trunk-r-treat at the Booneville ward and at Corinth. Kirk was able to see Grammy and Aunt Camilla, and Uncle Ben and James. We had a great time. Then on Halloween night we went trick-or-treating. Danny had to work, so my little sis went with me. She was a princess, I was a cat, and Kirk was little Charlie Brown again. We got to visit my parents and both of my grandparents. We even made the trip down to Baldwyn to visit Danny. It was a great night. Plus, to cap it off, Kirk started kinda-sorta crawling around. I give it another week before we have to do some major baby-proofing house rearranging! He's getting big on me!

A Little R&R

Last night, Danny took me out for my birthday present. He made reservations at a Bed and Breakfast a little outside of Booneville. It was a wonderful place. There were 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a sunroom, a kitchen and dinning area, and a screened in porch. Grammy got to babysit Kirk, so we had the evening to enjoy ourselves. We went out and bought some snacks and rented some movies and just plain ole hung out. I even got to take a bath! (For those of you who have ever seen a trailer's bathtub, you know why this is such a big deal. I can barely fit my legs in our tub!) This morning, we got to sleep in (until 9:30) then woke up to a super cool breakfast. We stayed there for a few more hours. Danny even agreed to watch The Sound Of Music with me!!! It was a wonderful time away. We both got to catch up on each other and our rest. Plus, Danny pampered me and let me do whatever I want, even if that included eating ice cream straight out of the container. However, we did miss the Kirk boy, so we hurried over after lunch time and picked him up. Time off isn't the same without to kiddo there with us!

A Night At The Park

Danny and I decided to take Kirk to Kids Town a few nights ago. It was just getting dark and beginning to cool down. We got to swing a little bit then we loaded Kirk into his stroller and went for a walk around the walking track. My boys both had their twinkie hoodies on. I thought this was probably to greatest thing ever. I love my boys so much. Aren't they cute?

One Year Older and Wiser Too...

This past Friday (October 3rd) was the our birthday! Danny turned 23 and I turned 22. We had a very strenuous day. We had planned a small party months ago, so I was pretty excited. I love birthdays and more than that, I love birthday parties! Well, about 2 weeks before our birthday, Danny found out that he had to work, but he was going to get off at 6, so we were going to do something when he got home. Then, on the Friday before our birthday, we found out that my mother was going to have neck surgery on the 3rd. So, that meant that Danny, my mom, my dad, and my sister were all going to be gone all day long. I have to admit, I was somewhat bummed out about the whole thing. Danny and I decided to have a nice little date night afterwars. So, I got a babysitter lined up (Gwen) and made some plans and got ready to go. Danny was supposed to be home right after 6, but he ended up being about 30 minutes late. There went our movie. Then, we had about 10 minutes left until we left and Gwen called. Camilla was stranded and she was going to have to go get her. So, there we were again with no plans. So I thought, where could we go that we could take a crying baby and not worry about distrubing people? A high school football game! We bundled up and packed up and headed out to the ballgame. Afterwards, I went to Walmart and bought a SMALL cake and we went to Sonic. My sister and her boyfriend sang to us and we even got to blow out the candles. Even though the day didn't exactly go as planned, we still had a great time. Danny got me a night stay at a bed and breakfast (yay!) and I got him the 2nd season of The Office. If that doesn't say birthday, I don't know what does!
